 Senator
George Voinovich (right) poses with Robert Purgert, President of
EIO at EIO’s Casting Development Center. The Senator and members
of his staff recently visited Center to review the progress of
EIO’s energy efficiency programs. The presentation included a discussion of EIO’s program for materials that enable Ultrasupercritical Boiler and Turbine operations at > 1400oF and > 5000 psi, EIO’s efforts successful application of Aluminum Bronze in Basic Oxygen Steelmaking and EIO’s efforts in support DOE’s Industrial Technology Program (ITP) and “Save Energy Now” efforts. EIO’s ITP support efforts include a technology launch event at Republic Engineered Products planned for January 2008 and on-going training programs associated with ITP’s Best Practices Program |
